Jobs by State

Where you are licensed decides which remote jobs you can take. This category organizes remote nursing guides and listings by state, so you can start from your license instead of scrolling through roles you cannot legally do. Each state page covers the same facts: whether the state is in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), a link to the state board of nursing, the large remote employers that hire in that state, typical pay context from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and any schedule or time-zone notes that affect remote work there. If a state page would add nothing beyond the state name, we do not publish it as a thin copy. Smaller cities are covered as sections inside their state page; only the largest cities, such as Houston, Chicago and New York City, have their own pages. A compact license is the fastest way to widen your options, because one multistate license covers every NLC state. If you hold a single-state license, the guides explain your two realistic paths: apply to roles that accept your state, or apply for licensure by endorsement in the employer’s state. Always verify license rules on your state board’s official site before applying.
